Remember ACTP e.V.? Well, they've *recently* posted a video on YouTube on 20th November, and it's a status update on the Spix's Macaws! And here it is:
That's right! The long-awaited day lies on February 20th, 2020, which is when 50 selected Spix's Macaws will arrive at Petrolina, Brazil, from the species' temporary home for the last decade or so in Germany, and arrive at a newly-constructed dedicated "release facility" there to begin the final leg of their journey back to the wild, and live independently in the jungles of the Amazon, which is due to happen sometime in 2021.
