The Red Macaw Tribe, also known as the Scarlet Macaw Tribe, is a group of Green Winged Macaws and scarlet macaws from Rio 2. The tribe lives deep in the Amazon Rainforest, alongside their former rivals, the Spix's Macaw Tribe. The tribe is led by Felipe.
Bio[]
It is known about the customs and attributes of the tribe, but the tribe seems to love provoking its rivals, especially their leader, Felipe. The tribe takes the territorial treaty of the Brazil nut grove with the Spix's Macaw Tribe very seriously. When Blu accidentally trespasses on their side of the grove, the tribe is unsatisfied and furious. The unintended trespassing quickly leads to an air soccer match, which both tribes refer to as "war", at the Pit of Doom. The tribe wins the match and the entire grove with a score of 4 to 3. In the closing seconds of the match, Blu, tricked by Felipe, scores in his team's own goal, losing the match for the Spix's Macaw Tribe (which Felipe wastes no time gloating over).
Later, the Red Macaw Tribe suddenly appears during the Spix's Macaw Tribe's battle with the loggers, providing assistance. Eduardo was momentarily startled at Felipe and his tribe's presence, but when he overcomes his shock, both tribes simultaneously drop Brazil nuts at the loggers, driving them away.
They also appear during the "Amazon Untamed" performance, most likely due to the alliance of the two tribes marking the ending of their hostilities.
Trivia[]
- Felipe is the only member of the tribe known by name. He is always accompanied by other members of the tribe, who also share amusement with him.
- However, the commentators in the Pit of Doom call some of the Red Macaw Tribe's players by name. Some of the Red Macaw Tribe's players are "Tito", "Cesar", "Antonio" and "Mario".
