Petricious is a minor character in Rio. He was the one who replaced Nigel, causing Nigel to hate pretty birds. However, he does not speak. He appears during Nigel's song, "Pretty Bird". According to the song, Petricious is also Paraguayan [1].

Trivia[]

  • The Angry Birds version of the music video replaces him with a pair of Minion Pigs stacked on top of each other, wearing fake eyebrows, fake wings and elastic beaks.
  • In the book Rio: Snakes Alive!, when two formerly Nigel's fans saw him (but did not realize that it was him, just a similar bird), they said that they would like to bring Nigel back, and that the new parakeet (Petricious) never had the same panache.
